endocrinal disorders. Artava Kashya can be correlated with PCOS in
modern science where there is scanty flow of menses with hirsutism
and obesity. In the present clinical study, the subjects were incidentally
selected according to specifically designed inclusion criteria and were
randomly placed containing 30 subjects. The effect of therapy given
was assessed on the basis of improvement in the Subjective parameters
like Duration of Menstruation and Interval of Menstruation and
Objective Parameters like S. LH, S.FSH and USG (right and left
ovary). In this trial, it was found that Vamana Karma had 60% of
moderate effect on all parameters. The results of the follow-up study
showed that the relief provided by the therapy remains consistent as no recurrence was
reported by any subjects up to the three month follow up study.
