Dr. Dhanalaxmi R. Sampaganv*, Dr. G. Vinay Mohan and Dr. G. S. Dharmannavar
. Abstract Amlapitta results from the vitiation of Agni in the Amashaya (stomach) area for a variety of reasons. Common Pitta-vitiating causes include fasting, eating in between meals, anxiety, rushing, eating spicy food, etc. Due to these elements' disruption of the Pachaka Pitta (digestive enzymes, etc.), the Pachaka Pitta becomes vitiated. The resulting condition is known as Amlapitta. Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach that is brought on by poorly used or excessively produced hydrochloric acid (HCl), which is related to the stomach. It may throw off the digestive processes. One of them that is most frequently observed is amlapitta. This article is a case study of a 38 years male patient with signs & symptoms of Urdhwaga Amlapitta. Patient was treated with ayurvedic medicine and principles of Ayurveda according to Rogavastha and Doshavastha. This case study shows potential of ayurveda and it proves ayurveda has evidence based treatment. Keywords: Urdhwaga Amlapitta, pitta, Hyperacidity, Shamana, Mandagni.
