.

Abstract

Agnikarma is the practice of using Agni, either directly or indirectly, in conjunction with a variety of substances to treat a patient's illness. Agnikarma literally translates to "treatment with Agni." Sushruta suggested "Agnikarma" for a number of conditions affecting the skin, muscles, blood vessels, ligaments, joints, and bones. Disease that has been cured with Agnikarma therapy does not return. When discussing ailments like Arsha, Arbuda, Bhagandara, Sira, Snayu, Asthi, Sandhigata Vata Vikara, and Gridhrasi, the Agnikarma method has been highlighted. With the aid of several unique substances known as Dahanopakarana, such as medications, objects, and substances used to produce therapeutic burns (samyakadagdha), portion or tissue is burned during Agnikarma chikitsa. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), therapeutic ultrasound, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF), interferential therapy (IFT), and electrical muscle stimulator (EMS) are just a few of the pain-relieving methods that have been developed as a result of medical science's advancements. Infrared therapy is one type of radiation therapy. Cauterization, electrocautery, and diathermy.
