EPIDEMIOLOGY AND INTRODUCTION OF LUMPY SKIN DISEASE

. Abstract An infectious disease is lumpy skin condition. The virus that causes it is called Capripoxvirus and is a member of the Poxviridae family. It is a blood-feeding arthropod-borne disease that is spread by many vectors. The disease known as Lumpy Skin Disease has no specific treatment. Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) is a contagious viral illness that primarily affects dairy cattle. LSD spread to Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Somalia, and Cameroon between 1981 and 1986.The virus that causes lumpy skin disease in cattle populations is a serious threat to food security and causes huge economic losses. A review on Lumpy Skin Disease, its epidemiology and diagnostic method. The objective of this review is to study about Lumpy Skin Disease and its clinical symptoms and treatment.
