Anuradha*, Vandana and Diksha Dhiman
. Abstract Ayurveda, an ancient science originating from the Vedas, primarily focuses on preventive measures rather than curative ones. Its mission, supported by esteemed authorities, is to eradicate the root causes of diseases. Ayurveda, in essence, is a science dedicated to maintaining good health. Among the common issues within Nasagata vikara, Pratishyaya stands out. This condition often arises due to factors like incompatible food consumption, allergies, seasonal changes, or structural issues like a Deviated Nasal Septum or Nasal polyps. Many seek solutions from Ayurvedic physicians for such concerns. Rhinitis, a prevalent condition in our modern era, is often a result of increased environmental pollution and unhealthy dietary choices. Rhinitis sufferers often endure irritation and exhaustion. Acharya Charaka has mentioned Gudadraka (Ginger-Jaggery) in Shotha Chikitsa and he has also said in the same verse that use of Gudadraka also cures Pratishyaya. This review helps the researcher to explore more about this important formulation. Keywords: Gudadraka, Pratishyaya, Rhinitis, Nasagata vikara. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
