ROLE OF GANDHAKDRUTI IN VERUCUS HYPERPLASIA (VERUCA VULGARIS)

. Abstract Gandhak druti is used in the operated case of fissure in ano. Postoperative wound was not healing at the extent it should be and post operative overall outcome was lacking in this case. Biopsy of nonhealing postoperative wound of fissure in ano was taken after 2 months. Histopathology report of sample revealed presence of verruca valgaris at site i. e. hypertrophoid papilla. It was the culprit for nonhealing of wound. Gandhak druti was applied locally at the site of wound. Healing of wound occurred and other symptoms like pain and bleeding were decreased remarkably. Gandhak druti is commonly used in skin ailments and infected wound in Ayurveda. Hence the drug mentioned is used to evaluate its action. Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of local application of Gandhak Druti in management of post fissurectomy wound infected with Verruca vulgaris. Result: Response of patient is well after local application of Gandhak Druti. Wound healed within 4 weeks. Pain is reduced in VAS from 8/10 to 0/10.
