FORMULATION AND IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF SUSTAINED RELEASE MATRIX TABLETS OF GLICLAZIDE

. Abstract The sustained release matrix tablets of gliclazide were prepared by direct compression technique using synthetic polymers like hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and ethyl cellulose as release retardant polymers. In this work, only physiochemical characterization such as angle of repose, Carr’s index, hausner ratio, weight variation, hardness, thickness, friability, drug content and in vitro evaluation of matrix tablet of gliclazide was performed.
