. Abstract Moringa oleifera, belongs to the Moringaceae family, is an indigenous plant and native to the North India region. In the study, an ethanolic extract of Moringa Oleifera leaves was subjected to phytochemical investigation and Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS) analysis to identify and characterize its chemical constituents. The presence of secondary metabolites revealed after phytochemical screening and is known for their pharmacological activities. The compounds observed after the phytochemical test are Alkaloids, Steroids, Carbohydrates, Saponins, Proteins and amino acids, Anthraquinone, Fats and Fixed oils. Then Chemical constituents are characterized by GC-MS. The result of this study shows the significance that Moringa Oleifera leaves has variety of bioactive compounds with their medicinal uses. Keywords: Moringa oleifera; Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy(GC-MS); Ethnolic extract; Phytochemical constituents. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
