. Abstract The burden of the oral diseases is increasing day by day, Due to dramatic change in the lifestyle and unhealthy diet patterns Despite of practicing Danta Dhavana regularly the incidence of Mukharogas has not reduced considerably. Indirectly it infers the importance of Gandusha as it has advocated from health promotive, Disease preventive, curative and restorative purposes. It is one of the Upkrama of Dinacharya described in Ayurveda for maintenance of Oral Hygiene. Mouth is the gateway to the body, bacteria from oral cavity can affect overall health of a human being. Poor oral hygiene has a profound effect on general health and quality of life. Every child has to face dental issues and hence they have always been an important concern in paediatric practice. management of dental conditions is more challenging in children than adults.
