FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF SILVER NANOPARTICLE OF EXTRACT OF CISSAMPELOS PAREIRA
Diksha Dwivedi* and Rajesh Singh Pawar
. Abstract Cissampelos pareira, a perennial climbing herb belonging to the family Menispermaceae is usually known as Ambastha or Laghu Patha in Indian traditional medicine. It has been discovered to exhibit antimicrobial properties, its anti-microbial feature found in root on pathogenic micro-organisms. The aim of this study is the green synthesize of silver nanoparticle, which is conducted by Cissampelos pareira extract and object is to evaluate their antibacterial activity against E.coli. From all the formulations Formulation 4, was considered as the optimized formulation with 163 nm of particle size and -2.1mv zeta potential. The spectrum of UV–visible of the prepared Ag-NPs shows an absorption peak at 428 nm due to the excitation of surface plasmon resonance (SPR). SEM image showed Ag-NPs have a spherical shape. The result of antibacterial activities showed that Ag-NPs synthesized had an inhibiting activity against E.coli. Where the inhibition zone was 8mm, 15mm and 18 mm respectively. As the result revealed that Ag nanoparticles were synthesized, formulated and optimized successfully. Keywords: Cissampelos pareira, silver nanoparticle, green synthesize, Anti-bacterial activity, traditional medicine, E.coli. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
