BIFIDO-LACTOBACILLAR MULTI-PRO/SYNBIOTICS: DESIGN PRINCIPLES BASED ON RANKED PROPERTIES OF STRAINS
Vladimir M. Lakhtin*, Mikhail V. Lakhtin, Alexandra L. Bairakova, Valeriy Y. Davydkin and Vladimir A. Aleshkin
. Abstract Potential and new possibilities of the probiotic strains, their consortia and pro/pre/synbiotic metabolites of a new types are studied. Our results on probiotic lactobacilli and bifidobacteria of human origin are summarized. Based on own results, principles of designing bifidolactobacillar multipro/synbiotics are proposed. The proposed principles will contribute to the development and creation of new biopreparations of directed action within mucosal biotopes of open cavities of the human body. The concepts of glycoconjugates-recognizing and binding probiotic lectin systems as prebiotic, communicatory and signaling ones, as participants of the Quorum Sensing in microbiocenosis and Cross Talking in organism, as organizers of an infrastructure of both microbiocenoses and mucosal biotopes of open body cavities, as effectors co-functioning with enzymes and glycoconjugates of preventive and therapeutic orientation and significance, are very promising in support of mucosal immunity and health. Keywords: probiotics; synbiotics; symbiotic lectins; glycoconjugates; antimicrobials; microbiocenoses; mucosal immunity. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
