. Abstract Atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema, affects a large proportion of children and is most common in infants, where it occurs in 20% of those under two years of age (1–3 year) Over the past 30 years, a twofold to threefold increase in paediatric atopic dermatitis has been reported. Most children develop atopic dermatitis before the age of two years. Significant morbidity associated with atopic dermatitis can be prevented with early diagnosis and treatment. Keywords: .
