A CASE STUDY: AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF PSORIASIS (EKAKUSHTHHA)

. Abstract Due to change in lifestyle factors like irregular food habits and irregular lifestyle along with stress, irregular sleeping habits causes manifestation of diseases like skin diseases. Ayurveda describes all skin disease under Kushtha Roga. Detailed description of its Nidanas, Samprapti, Purvaroopa, Roopa and Upasaya Evum Chikitsa are explained thoroughly in Charaka Samhita and Susruta Samhita. Ekkushtha is described under Kshudra Kushthha by acharyas caused due to involvement of Vata and Kapha Doshas. In this case a 19-yearold female patient was suffering from skin disease since 7 years, she was treated with Vamana Karma along with internal medications.
