*Shubhangi V. Borse, Prof. Mitesh P. Sonawane, Vishal A. Chaudhari, Suvarna S. Chaure and Uddhav B. Chormale
. Abstract Liposomes are colloidal particles consisting of phospholipids and cholesterol. The liposomal drug help to form the drug with decrease harmful side effects and improves the treatment. In this article, we discussed the classification of liposomes, mechanisms, methods of preparation and evaluation, and applications of liposomes. these days Liposomes are widely used technologies for targeting specific sites or cells, such as cells, and specific molecules in the body. Additionally, the primary analytical techniques for examining the properties of liposomes, including their size, stability, charge, lamellarity, transition temperature, and encapsulation efficiency, are discussed.in liposome targeting mechanisms and are spoken about. Drug vesicles that show promise and versatility have been identified as liposomes. Liposomes have better qualities than conventional drug delivery methods, such as site-targeting, controlled or sustained release, shielding pharmaceuticals from clearance and degradation, better. Keywords: Liposomes, Drug delivery, Lipid excipients, controlled, Targeted drug delivery system, classification, Method, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics.
