A REVIEW ON COMMUNITY PHARMACIST TOWARDS BREAST CANCER

. Abstract Breast cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the cells of the breast. It is more common in women but can affect men. Risk factors include age, gender, family history, and genetic mutations. Common symptoms include breast lumps, changes in size or shape, and skin or nipple abnormalities. Diagnosis involves imaging tests and biopsies. Treatment options include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapy. Early detection through screenings and awareness is crucial for better out comes. Community pharmacists are pivotal in breast cancer awareness, education, and support, contributing to public health initiatives. They provide information on breast health, promote awareness campaigns, and encourage screenings. Pharmacists offer guidance on breast self-exams, counsel on cancer medications, and manage side effects.
