PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING &ANALYTICAL STUDIES OF MORINGA OLEIFERA

Abstract
The present study was carried out to determine the phyto constituents
like alkaloids, tannins, saponins and amino acids in methanol
extract of moringa oleifera. The study also includes the determination
of the Rf Value, uv spectra, λmax, and IR spectra was done to
determine the presence of amino acids in methanolic extract. The Rf
Value of amino acid is 0.88,λmax of alkaloid found to be 378.2nm,
standard graph of water extract shows the regression equation as
y=0.0036x-0.0001,IR frequency range of amino, carboxylic group is
found to be 3348.42cm-1 , 1058.92cm-1.
