AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF CASE REPORT TUNDIKERI- (CHRONIC TONSILLITIS)

. Abstract In Ayurvedic classics Tundikeri is Mentioned as a Swelling at the base of Hanusandhi (Tempero - Mandibular Joint) Resembling with Vanakarpasa Phala (cotton fruit) on the basis of Sign and symptoms. Tundikeri can be Correlated with Tonsillitis. Tonsillitis or inflammation of tonsils is a Common Disease and make up to approximately 1.3% of out Patients visits. Infected tonsils gets Swollen and Red and have yellow or white coating. A person with tonsillitis may have sore throat, fever, swollen glands in neck and trouble swallowing. A case report of 14 year old male with complaints of sore throat, difficulty in swallowing and fever since 20 days have been presented here. The patient was febrile with body temperature 100° F on and off. Pulse was 70/min, Blood pressure 130/80 mm of hg. Pratisarana with sandhav lavan and madhu and Daruharidra tablet orally with luke warm water was given to patient as a therapeutic intervention.
