CLINICAL ASSESSMENT ON BIPOLAR DISORDER - A REVIEW

. Abstract This overview aims to discuss the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of bipolar disorder. We examine data on prevalence, procedures, identification, and treatment. Bipolar disorder has two types: Bipolar I and II. It affects 1-2% of the world's population and can lead to high medical expenses. Other psychological and medical conditions can impact its progression and treatment. Lithium is a commonly used mood stabilizer, but it may not work for everyone. Valproate is also an anticonvulsant and is beneficial in treating acute mania.
