AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF POST COVID BRONCHITIS AND ARTHRALGIA WITH PACHANA AND LAGHUPANCHAMOOLA SIDDHA KSHEERAPAKA; A CASE REPORT

. Abstract Even though the Active infection of SARS covid-19 has much reduced, the severity and count of post covid cases is increasing every day. The common symptoms of active infection such as Fever, cold, cough etc. resemble to the Jwara Vyadhi and due to its vivid spread, covid is identified as aupasargika Jwara. Common post covid symptoms such as recurrent cough, low grade fever, shortness of breath, headache, and joint pain are mentioned in jeerna jwara as per ayurveda.[1] This report deals with the management of main symptoms of patient who was diagnosed as a case of “jeerna jwara”, including recurrent cough, frequent mild fever, arthralgia and fatigue, with the treatment principles of jeerna jwara. “Payapana” (use of medicated milk) to restore the “bala,” was administered to patient along with other medications and it was prepared with “laghupanchamoola” to improve the agni of the patient and to make digestion of milk easier for patient. After 15 days of medication, 80% symptomatic relief was achieved. Keywords: Post-covid bronchitis, Arthralgia, Laghupanchamoola ksheera, pachana chikitsa.
