ONE POT SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OFSOME NEW DERIVATIVES OF ETHYLCARBONYL-4, 6-DIPHENYL-1, 2, 3, 4- TETRA HYDRO PYRIMIDINE -2-THIONES PROMOTED BY TCSA

. Abstract As a part of our in-depth study, the synthesis and antibacterial activity of Ethylcarbonyl-4,6-diphenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro pyrimidine -2- thiones using TCSAas catalyst. The compound ethyl carbonyl-4,6- dephenyl-1-1,2,3,4-tetra hydro pyrimidine-2-thones derivatives can be obtained by the reaction of ethyl benzoyl acetate, substituted aryl aldehyde and thioureain the presence of TCSA as a catalyst and ethanol as solvent. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated by advanced spectroscopic data IR, 1HNMR, 13C NMR and LCMS. The structure of the compounds was evaluated by elemental analysis. In addition to screened theantibacterial activity of new synthesized derivatives.
