SOLVENT FREE SYNTHESIS OF DERIVATIVES OF 4-(INDOLYL)-6- METHYL-2-THIOXO-1, 2, 3,4-TETRAHYDROPYRIMIDINE-5- CARBOXYLATE AND BIOEVLUATION
V. Srinuvasu and Dr. N. Krishna Rao*
. Abstract The present study, the synthesis of series of 4-(indol-3-yl)- 6-methyl- 2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-yl) ethanone derivatives from the reaction of substituted indole -3-carbaldehydes (1. mmol), acetyl acetone (1mmol), thiourea(2mmol) in the presence of camphor Sulphonic acid as catalyst in aqueous medium. All the compounds were evaluated by advanced spectroscopic data (1H NMR, 13C NMR& LCMS) and the structural determination was calculated by elemental analysis. In addition to the all newly synthesized compounds were screened by their microbial activity. Keywords: Acetylacetone,Indole-3-carbaldehydes,4-(indol-3-yl)- 6-methyl-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro pyrimidine-5-yl) ethanone, CSA, biological activity. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
