AN OVERVIEW OF BASTI DRAVYA DOSHA’S IMPACT AND MANAGEMENT IN AYURVEDA AND MODERN SCIENCE

Abstract

Niruha Basti is one of the most effective and cost-effective Basti that may be used to treat a variety of ailments. In clinical practice, there is some difference in estimating the number of substances, the Drava Dravya, and so on. Extensive studies are needed to standardize the quantity of ingredients, the selection of ingredients in various disease states, and to determine the optimum temperature, pH, viscosity of dravyas. When we look into the anticipated doshas of basti karma, the relationship between basti netra and basti yantra has been clearly defined. The basti should not be administered Atishigra, Atimanda, Atiushna which is nothing but the role of human factor engineering explained in the classics. This article presents with theoretical overview and systemic management of Basti Dravya doshas according to Ayurveda and Modern.
