NATURAL DRUG TREATMENT ON LUMPY SKIN DISEASE

Abstract

Cattle with lumpy skin disease may have an acute, subacute, or inapparent viral illness that manifests as a fever and the abrupt emergence of firm, bounded skin nodules that typically go through decomposition. The Lumpy Skin Disease Virus (LSDV), a member of the poxviridae family, is the cause. There is no known cure for LSD, but it can be managed with a vaccination that consists of four live, attenuated strains of the Capri poxvirus. The focus of this project is on different herbal ingredients that are used to formulate natural drugs for the treatment of LSD.
