Abstract

Medicinal plants have long been utilized in skincare products due to their therapeutic advantages. These plants, known as botanicals, possess pharmacological qualities that promote health and well-being. In the realm of skincare, they offer a holistic and entirely natural approach to combat the signs of aging. Anti-aging face packs, which aim to rejuvenate the skin, reduce wrinkles, and enhance a youthful appearance, typically consist of a combination of organic components, specifically medicinal herbs selected for their unique benefits. These face masks nourish the skin, stimulate collagen production, and combat oxidative stress, thereby reducing the visible signs of aging. The effectiveness of anti-aging face packs lies in the careful selection and blending of medicinal plants. Well-known ingredients such as aloe vera, turmeric, neem, ginseng, and green tea extract are renowned for their anti-aging properties. Aloe vera soothes and nourishes the skin, while turmeric possesses potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities. Green tea extract protects against damage caused by UV radiation, ginseng promotes collagen formation, and neem acts as a natural astringent. Active compounds derived from medicinal plants are extracted and combined with suitable base materials to create anti-aging face packs. Techniques such as decoction, infusion, and maceration are commonly employed to extract bioactive components from these plants. These extracts are then blended with carriers such as oils, gels, or clays to formulate a well-balanced face pack.
