. Abstract In several nations, Marrubium vulgare is a widely used medicinal herb. M. vulgare is primarily found throughout Europe, North Africa, and Asia. It reaches around a foot in height. Flavonoids, coumarins, saponins, tannins, terpenes, and/or sterols are some of the families of secondary metabolites that have been identified as a result of the phytochemical analysis of M. vulgare. White horehound, or Marrubium vulgare L. (family: Lamiaceae), is a popular herbal medicine for persistent colds and coughs. Alkaloids, sterols, steroids, terpenoids (diterpene), saponins, flavonoids, catecholic tannins, anthocyanins, phenolic compounds, and numerous other bioactive components were found in the plant, according to the phythochemical examination. Pharmacological studies revealed that the plant had numerous biological benefits, including anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, and anti-spasmodic properties. Traditionally, marrubium vulgare was used as a diuretic, bitter tonic, appetizer, rheumatoid arthritis, pulmonary infections, and dyspeptic complaints. Keywords: .
