Dr. Rakshitha R.*, Dr. Nagraj S. and Dr. Arun Kumar
. Abstract In the Classical textbooks of Ayurveda, there is a notable emphasis on the significance of the body's digestive fire, known as "Agni." Agni plays a pivotal role in shaping one's overall health, vitality, digestion, radiance, immune strength, metabolic processes, and life force. This underscores the fundamental notion that Agni serves as the foundational factor behind all bodily functions. When the proper functioning of Agni is disrupted, it can result in an imbalance in the normal activities of the Doshas. This, in conjunction with other contributing factors, can give rise to the development of various health disorders. In the condition of haemorrhoids or "Arshas," Agni is recognized as a crucial factor contributing to the onset of this ailment. The occurrence of various factors such as dietary indiscretions, lifestyle choices, and irregular bowel movements can lead to the aggravation of certain imbalances or "Doshas" in the body. These Doshas can, individually or in combination, contribute to disturbances in the main circulatory channel, which in this context can be likened to the large intestine. As a result of this process, there may be the formation of haemorrhoids within the rectal area. Keywords: Arshas, Haemorrhoids, Agni. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
