STUDY OF CORROSION INHIBITION CHEMISTRY. PART-2: REVIEW ON VARIED SCHIFF BASES AS MATERIAL FOR CORROSION INHIBITION
C. J. Patil*, M. C. Patil and U. K. Patil
. Abstract This study is motivated by the need to find more properties of the Schiff base class of organic compounds. There is an increasing importance to study the corrosion inhibition properties of some organic compounds with reference to the pharmacological importance as well also, which were easily synthesized and made available to the community. Corrosion is a phenomenon of Physico-chemical interaction of a metal and its environment, inducing degradation of the metal itself. So here we have made an attempt to put the review pertaining to the Schiff base compounds containing about 200 references covering utmost possible details. Keywords: Schiff bases, corrosion, Langmuir isotherm, Inhibition and azomethine. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
