A REVIEW ON RAKTASHODHAKARISHTA

. Abstract The most well-known Indian traditional systems, including Homeopathy, Sidha, Unani and Ayurveda, are becoming more and more popular worldwide. Arista is the self-generated herbal formulation in ayurvedic system of medicines. Raktashodhakarista is traditional ayurvedic formulation which has blood purifying properties and also used for skin disorders. This study is to understand the chemical constituents like alkaloids, glycosides, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids and steroids in relation to uses such as anti-microbial, antiinflammatory and anti-oxidant properties of this arista.
