Abstract

FORMULATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HERBAL FACE PACK CONTAINING HIBISCUS EXTRACT

Abstract

The aim of this work is to formulate and evaluated an herbal face pack containing hibiscus extraction for glowing skin by using natural herbal ingredients Marrie gold flower, Charcoal, Rose petal powder, Neem powder, Aloe Vera gel, Lime juice, Honey, Glycerin were purchased from local market. All powdered natural ingredients were weighed and sieved by using #120 meshe. All the prepared face packs were characterized by organoleptic evaluation, physicochemical evaluation, Irritancy test and Stability studies. Particle size of the powder was found to be 25-30μm. Herbal face packs are used to stimulate blood circulation, rejuvenate the muscles and help to maintain the elasticity of the skin and remove dirt from skin pores. In this study it is concluded that all the formulations of face packs found to be good in physical parameters, free from skin irritations and further optimization studies are required on this study to find the useful benefits of face packs on human use as cosmetic product.
