Abstract

Sarvangsundara Rasa is a herbo-mineral formulation that contains Parada, Gandhaka, Tankana, Vatsanabha, Jayapala, Triphala, Trikatu. The incidence of Shwasa, Kasa, jwara, Amvata, and Mandagni has recently increased significantly. Sarvangsundara Rasa is one formulation seen in different Rasa classics of Ayurveda with a unique blend of herbal and mineral drugs fortified by subjecting to Bhavana of different media. Sarvangsundara Rasa has the ingredients that usually possess action like Jvaraghna, Kasaghna, Shwashaghna, Deepana, Pachana, and Antibacterial properties, in this study an attempt is made to gather information on Sarvangsundara Rasa from various Rasa classics with insight into the ingredient.
