FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF POLYHERBAL OINTMENT SHOWING ANTI-ARTHRITIC ACTIVITY

Abstract

Rheumatoid joint pain is a constant systemic immune system malady that basically includes the joints. Rheumatoid joint pain causes harm interceded by cytokines, chemokines, and metalloproteases. Characteristically, fringe joints (eg, wrists, metacarpophalangeal joints) are symmetrically aroused, driving to dynamic annihilation of articular structures, as a rule went with by systemic symptoms. RA frequently happens in a symmetrical design, meaning that if one knee or hand has the condition, the other hand or knee is frequently moreover affected. It can influence the joints in the wrists, hands, elbows, shoulders, feet, spine, knees, and jaw. RA may cause weariness, incidental fevers, and a misfortune of appetite. RA may cause restorative issues exterior of the joints, in ranges such as the heart, lungs, blood, nerves, eyes, and skin. Aegle marmelos (Linn) Correa commonly known as Bael having a place to family Rutaceae, is a direct measured, slim and aromatic tree, broadly accessible in India with awesome known therapeutic employments. Asparagus racemosus has been successfully used by some medical practitioners as an anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and immunomodulator for many infectious diseases. Similarly ginger, garlic, clove and turmeric to have many medicinal properties in them. The objective of the present study was to analyse the phytochemical composition and anti-inflammatory properties of drugs. The focus of the study was to formulate the ointment using polyherbal extracts and to evaluate its anti-inflammatory. A ointment was formulated by taking different extracts and was evaluated. The ointment showed the best result for different tests.
