Abstract

For a very long time, people have treated illnesses with natural remedies made of plants and herbs. Additionally, as natural goods have less adverse effects than synthetic pharmaceuticals, research has been conducted to find alternative pharmaceutical drugs based on historically used plants. The bioactive components found in medicinal plants, such as terpenoids, flavonoids, and alkaloids, have long been a focus in drug research. This is true not only for terrestrial plants, but also for a greater variety of medicinally active plants and animals found in marine settings. Vitex negundo, is a putative herb that has long been used to treat a range of ailments, such as reproductive potential, osteoporosis, inflammation, cataract, hepatoprotective.
