PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF THAYIR CHUNDI CHOORANAM

. Abstract Thayir chundi chooranam is a traditional siddha poly herbo-mineral formulation which is mentioned in Siddha literature, "Siddha vaithya Thiratu" used for "Ajiirana Bethi and cheriyamai". It contains the ingredients of Indhuppu, Kallupu, Sotruppu, Valayalupu, Pooneeru, Chukku, Pulitha Thayir. Todays contemporary world most of the people with altered food habits and sanitation affected by diarrohea. Now a days diarrohea due to indigestion is more common. Diarrohea is defined as passage of three or more loose or liquid stools per day. In covid -19 pandemic situation Thayir chundi choornam plays a major role for diarrohea. This preparation having various phytochemicals depends on their ingredients. The aim present study study was to investigate the presence of phytochemicals in the selected herbomineral formulation.
