CLINICAL MANAGEMENT OF ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION WITH VARIHAT SATAVARI MODAK - AN AYURVEDIC MEDICINAL PREPARATION

Abstract

Impotence, often known as erectile dysfunction, is becoming recognized as one of the most significant diseases linked to stress and lifestyle. The primary causes of this illness include overexertion, physiological abnormalities, decreased hormone levels, and damaged relationships with partners. In addition to diet and medication therapy, Ayurveda provides natural medications that have been shown to be effective in treating erectile dysfunction. Several natural medicines, either alone or in combination, were described in the chapters of "Rasayana" and "Vajikaran" of ancient medical texts, particularly Ayurveda, to be used in this kind of illness. In Bhaisajya Ratnavali vajikaran Adhayay mentioned the usage of vatihat satavari modak in Shukra Vaha Srotodusti Chikitsa. Varihat satavari modak is an ayurvedic Preparation Consisting of mainly 8 medicinal herbs having potency of increasing shukra dhatu along with milk and ghee. One group open randomly 30 patients were taken. The treatment under experiment with varihar satavari modak during time period 45 days. Overall, the experimental group showed higher positive results.
