. Abstract Cardiospermum halicacabum L is a climber plant that belongs to the Sapindaceae family. Because of its special medicinal properties, it has been used for a long time in Ayurvedic, homeopathic, and Unani medicine. Cardiospermum halicacabum L ethanol extract was designated as EECHL. The preliminary phytochemical screening of EECHL revealed the absence of mucilage, volatile oil, and fixed oil and the presence of, saponins, tannins, proteins, amino acids, alkaloids, flavonoids, carbohydrates and terpenoids. The extract's flavonoid and phenolic contents were measured and found to be 4.21μg/g and 67.48μg/g, respectively. The presence of quercetin in the ethanolic extract of C. halicacabum leaves was confirmed by the HPTLC profile that was shown. Keywords: HPLC, HPTLC, TLC.
