. Abstract Karkatshringi (Pistacia integerrima) is a prominent herb mentioned in various Ayurvedic Samhitas, revered for its extensive therapeutic properties. This review delves into classical Ayurvedic texts, highlighting references from Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya. Traditionally, Karkatshringi has been employed for its antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant effects. Its usage in treating respiratory ailments, digestive disorders, and fevers is welldocumented. The herb's bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids and terpenoids, are aligned with its described benefits. This review emphasizes the significance of Karkatshringi in ancient Ayurvedic practices and its potential applications in modern medicine.
