AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF MELASMA (VYANGA VYADHI)-A SINGLE CASE STUDY

. Abstract Vyanga is a pathological condition which is produced due to the vitiation of Vata, Pitta and Rakta dosha producing clinical features such as Niruja, Tanu, Shyava mandala on the face.Acharyas talk about this in the 'KshudRoga' adhyaya. Vyanga vyadhi is also mentioned as raktapradoshaja roga. In the modern science this condition can be correlated with hypermelanosis of the skin melasma.
