A NOVEL UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF AZELNIDIPINE AND OLMESARTAN MEDOXOMIL IN TABLET DOSAGE FORM
Mary Jiffy* and Dr. Haripriya M.
. Abstract An efficient, sensitive, precise, accurate, and economical Q-absorption ratio method for the quantitative analysis of Azelnidipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil in both bulk and combined dosage forms has been developed and validated. This method utilizes the ratio of absorbances at two distinct wavelengths: one at the iso-absorptive point (286 nm in methanol) and the other at the λmax of Azelnidipine (256nm in methanol). The method demonstrates linearity within the concentration range of 2-18μg/mL for both drugs in methanol. It is ideal for routine quality control and has been validated through rigorous statistical analysis and recovery studies.
