ROLE OF AGNI IN STRI BANDHYATAVA (FEMALE INFERTILITY) W.S.R. TO VIPHALA ARTAVA (ANOVULATION FACTOR)

Abstract The achievement of conception is a cherished desire of every woman after marriage. Day by day, the number of couples reporting Infertility is increasing. According to the WHO, Infertility is a disease of the reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular, unprotected intercourse. The concept of Agni is an important idea of Ayurveda that is unique to this science. For a healthy state of the body, normalcy of the Agni is needed. According to Ayurveda, all the diseases are due to ama, which is caused by the vitiated Agni.
