Abstract

Shashtik Shali Pinda Sweda is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy involving the use of medicated rice poultices for therapeutic purposes. This article provides a comprehensive review and analysis of the pharmacodynamics of Shashtik Shali Pinda Sweda, integrating ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern scientific perspectives. We examine historical views from renowned Ayurvedic scholars such as Sushruta and Charaka, explore the mode of action from a modern scientific standpoint, and discuss the implications of this therapy in contemporary practice.
