IMMUNO-MODULATION THROUGH AYURVEDIC LIFESTYLE WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SADVRITTA, ACHARA RASAYANA, DINCHARYA AND RITUCHARYA

Abstract STUDY: Literature Review. Aim and Objectives: 1. Review of Ayurvedic Classical Literature for context of Sadvritta, Achara Rasayana, Dincharya and Ritucharya. 2. Relationship of Immunity with Seasons. Result: Dinacharya means an ideal daily regimen as per Ayurveda that offers a lifestyle with beneficial physiological and psychological effects for a human body and mind. Ritucharya the concept of rogi bala and agni bala plays a vital role in this context. In the beginning of Dakshinayan and end of Uttarayan kala, i.e in varsha and grishma ritu, bala of patient is very low. In the end of Dakshinayan and beginning of Uttarayan i.e Hemant and shishir ritu, bala of patient is high. In sharad and vasant ritu bala of patient is moderate. Agni bala is also affected according to ritu which specially gets dimished during the period of Ritusandhi. So, specific precautions are advised in this period that are to be taken in order to stay healthy. In sadvritta and Achara rasayana Ayurveda believes that mind, soul and the body are like pillar. It is about good conduct of mental, religious, social, moral and personal habits. Achara rasayana is a type of rasayana for psychological and spiritual health. It is a code of conduct which includes the maintaining living standard based on honesty, trust, faith, love and truth. Conclusion: Vyadhi Pratirodhaka Shakti (resistance of the body from the occurrence of a disease) in an individual is dependent on variable factors like Agni (digestive and metabolic fire of the body), Ojas (vital element of the body), Prakrit bala etc. In order to enhance the virtue of vyadhikshmatva, various factor play a role which is connected to each other by some way or other.
