FORMULATION AND EVALUATION ANTI-ACNE HERBAL PEEL OFF MASK
Shruti Khot*, Shubhangi More and Pratibha Adnaik
Abstract When placed across the skin's mucous membrane, skin care products such as gel, lotion, ointment, cream, peel-off masks, etc. are intended to have a localised effect. A peel-off mask is a sort of dosage form that is applied softly to the surface of the face and removed after a few minutes. It is intended to treat common skin issues and to tighten, moisturise, and remove tan lines from the skin. This is the recipe for a peel-off face mask made of sandalwood (Santalum album, often known as sandalwood oil). Extracted sandalwood (Santalum album (Sandalwood) Oil) improves skin tone, minimises acne, and delays the ageing process of the skin. Green tea extract has calming effects, moisturises the skin, and aids in the removal of acne. The formulation contains PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), glycerine, gelatin, and citric acid as excipients. A variety of formulations were tested for a number of characteristics, including peeling time, pH, stability studies, and spredability. The formulation falls within the specified range when assessed for the parameters. Keywords: Face mask, herbal extract, acne, dermis, hypodermis, and epidermis.
