AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF HYPOTHYROIDISM -A CASE STUDY

. Abstract Ayurveda, the Science of life is one of the world’s Ancient holistic healing systems which consider inherent principles of nature to maintain health in a person by keeping the individual’s body, mind and soul in equilibrium state. Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is underactive and does not produce enough thyroid hormones. Patients present with symptoms and also other clinical conditions. In this present study, a male patient aged 37 Years, known case of Hypothyroidism since 5 months having symptoms of general weakness, hair loss, difficulty in concentration, weight gain, sleep apnoea, Hyperlipidemia. Patient underwent allopathy management and stopped medication was treated with shamanoushadi. After 40 days of Ayurvedic management significant results were noted.
