A CRITICAL REVIEW ON SHATAVARI GHRITA

. Abstract Shatavari Ghrita, a traditional Ayurvedic formulation Prepared with Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus- Wild) Kalka, Swaras, Kwath, cow/goat milk, and cow ghee. Shatavari ghrita is widely mentioned in classical texts. Total 15 different references of Shatavari Ghrita are available in different text of Ayurveda, from which 2 references came under the name Shatavaryadi Ghrita. It is use for treating various gastrointestinal and reproductive System disorders. It is particularly effective in conditions like hyperacidity (Amlapitta), bleeding disorders (Raktapitta), and dysuria. Shatavari, with its cooling, nourishing, and rejuvenating properties, helps balance the Pitta dosha, addressing inflammatory conditions and digestive issues.
