A DETAIL ON VICHARCHIKA AND ITS MANAGEMENT
Dr. Shubham Jadhao*, Dr. Saguna Thakre and Dr. Kishor Pacharne
. Abstract The comprehensive methodology for mitigating adverse impacts on humanity is referred to as Ayurveda. The skin mirrors both the physical body and the mental state. The skin, the body's largest organ, reflects an individual's physiological, mental, and physical wellness. Besides providing coverage and protection for the body, skin also facilitates metabolism and excretion. All dermatological diseases are classified under the overarching category of Kustha roga in Ayurveda. Vidarchika, a type of Khsudra Kushta, is particularly susceptible to episodic recurrence and is linked to eczema. Vicharchika is classified as a type of Kshudra kustha. The attributes of eczema in modern dermatology parallel those of Vicharchika as described in Ayurveda. Eczema and Vicharchika are related. Wet eczema is associated with the symptoms of Vicharchika, whereas dry eczema corresponds to the symptoms described by Sushruta. The persistent and chronic nature substantially impacts the patients' quality of life. Keywords: Vicharchika, Ayurveda, Kshudra Kushtha, Charaka, Eczema. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
