AYURVEDA: INNOVATIVE PATHS TO GLOBAL HEALTH

. Abstract The contemporary global health landscape is challenged by rising chronic diseases and escalating healthcare costs, prompting a renewed interest in integrative approaches like Ayurveda. This research article examines Ayurveda's potential to address these challenges through innovation and modernization, facilitated by the establishment of India’s Ministry of AYUSH. Key setbacks in Ayurveda's advancement, including the lack of standardized protocols, scientific validation, and ecological sustainability, are discussed. The need for innovation in clinical applications, production methods, and educational frameworks is emphasized to enhance Ayurveda's global relevance. Modern scientific advancements such as bioinformatics, Ayur-genomics, and reverse pharmacology are showcased as pivotal in validating Ayurvedic practices and integrating them with contemporary healthcare. Furthermore, the essay explores the importance of collaboration between Ayurvedic and modern medical practitioners to foster a holistic and sustainable healthcare model. Ultimately, it advocates for a future where Ayurveda, enriched by scientific research and responsible practices, emerges as a credible and effective healthcare system on the global stage.
