DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF TOPICAL PREPARATION TO RESTORE DRY SKIN

. Abstract Skin is the outermost part tissue of the body and the largest organ. The major function of skin is to act as barrier to exterior environment. Various disease that are affect to skin such as eczema, carcinoma, chickenpox, patchy skin, bacterial infection to cause dry skin. Dry skin are rough or scaly appearance with reddening, cracking or itching. Dry skin is a common side effect of cancer trefvatment. Both chemotherapy and radiation therapy can cause dry skin reaction. It is a life long problem that can worsen with advance year. The treatment of dry skin is aimed at restoration of the epidermal water barrier. This is accomplished with moisturising agent that are topically applied to the skin. The aim of these research is to prevent dry skin by preparing a topically applied lotion.
