A REVIEW ON FORMULATION & DEVELOPMENT OF PARENTERAL PREPARATION

. Abstract The main aim of the project is to promote basic concept of parenteral preparation, area planning, general requirements for formulations of parenteral preparation, and evaluation of parenteral preparation. Parenteral preparation gives a quick onset of action so it is useful in emergency cases. Compare to other dosage forms parenteral preparation are efficient. Generally, A sterile drug contains no viable microorganisms and non-pyrogenic. Drugs administered through the intravenous injection route for irrigation and drugs used as preparation applied to eyes meet these criteria. Other dosage forms may be similarly classified as being sterile, including an ointment applied to a puncture wound or skin abrasion.
