TILASHELUKARVI KWATHA IN TREATMENT OF ARTAVA KSHAYA

Abstract God's most valuable gift is women. The ability to raise the number of children is unique to women. Her body undergoes numerous modifications throughout her life. Women nowadays are unable to take care of their health since they manage their jobs and homes well, which leads to a number of reproductive system-related illnesses. Women's health greatly depends on the regularity of their menstruation. The prevalence of irregular menstruation, including Artava kshaya, is rising daily. Artava kshaya “Raktasya pramanahani,” i.e., decrease in amount of artava, caused by unhealthy food habits, sedentary lifestyle, stress, which causes vitiation of vatadi dosha and leads to vikruti in "Rituchakra,” i.e., alters the normal physiology of the reproductive system and ends with disruption of the H-P-O axis. Among all gynaecological problems, the most common one is Artava kshaya. Tilashelukaravi Kwatha mentioned by Acharya Yogaratnakara is one. Contents of this Yoga i.e., Til, Shelu (Shelshmataka Twaka), Karavi (Krishana Jeeraka) and Guda (Jaggery) has many properties that has the potential to destroy the pathogenesis of Artava Kshaya.
