Abstract Cystitis is an infection of the lower urinary tract, and more specifically of the urinary bladder. It may be broadly classified as either complicated or uncomplicated (simple). 1. Uncomplicated cystitis refers to a lower urinary tract infection (UTI) in either men or non-pregnant women who are otherwise healthy. 2.
